We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to support a Queensland Government team delivering stakeholder and community engagement across North Queensland. This role will suit a creative and detail-oriented designer with strong experience across print, digital, video and online content, who can translate complex information into clear, engaging and accessible visual materials.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Develop creative design solutions that inform, inspire and connect with stakeholders and communities.
n
Design and produce communication materials including publications, brochures, newsletters, displays, maps, presentations, social media content, digital advertisements, print advertisements and videos.
n
Provide visual design and digital communication advice to executives, stakeholders and internal teams.
n
Ensure all materials align with TMR brand guidelines, accessibility requirements and government standards.
n
Translate complex information into clear, engaging and fit-for-purpose visual content.
n
Manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
n
Liaise with external suppliers including printers, illustrators, photographers, videographers and animators.
n
Support continuous improvement of visual communication processes, services and standards.
n




Collaborate with other design teams to promote a consistent approach across the department.
n
Robust proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
n
Experience creating visual materials across print, digital, video and online platforms.
n
Solid Microsoft Office capability.
n
Experience working with corporate branding and style guidelines.
n
Basic understanding of WCAG and accessible document requirements, including accessible PDFs and Microsoft Word documents.
n
Experience producing high-quality creative work for large corporate or government organisations.
n
Strong attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
n
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
n
Excellent communication skills and a customer-centred approach.
n
Minimum five years' experience in graphic design, visual communication, digital design or creative design.
n
Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
n
Knowledge of Queensland Government processes and policies.
