Key Responsibilities:

Driver's License: Minimum requirement of a MR Truck license.
n
Fleet: Operate our fleet of 8mtr long bed tray trucks for deliveries within Melbourne Metro, Peninsula, and Geelong.
n
Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods onto the delivery vehicle.
n
Delivery: Transport manufactured sheet metal products to merchant stores and building sites.
n
Route Optimization: Schedule delivery runs for the most efficient route.
n
Loading and Checking: Load the truck according to work sheets, ensuring the items are correct before departure.
n
Overtime: Be flexible to work overtime when necessary to complete tasks.
n
Load Securing: Properly secure loads to ensure safe transport.
n
Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the vehicle in a neat and clean appearance.
n
Personal Presentation: Maintain a tidy and neat personal appearance.
n
Safety: Adhere to all OH&S; regulations on sites as directed.
n
Safety and Care: Take reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others, ensuring no risk to health or safety.
n
Compliance:



Follow lawful instructions from Supervisors and observe the workplace Code of Conduct as detailed in our policy documents.

Qualifications and Requirements:
n
n
1. Possession of a valid MR license with at least one year of driving experience.
n
2. Previous experience in delivery driving is advantageous.
n
3. Proficient communication skills.
n
4. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
n
5. A strong dedication to safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.
n
6. Consistency and dependability in performance.
n
7. Effective time management abilities.
n
8. Capability to perform light hand unloading.
n
9. Competence in reading and completing necessary paperwork for each delivery.
n
10. Exceptional customer service skills.
n
11. Physical fitness, as manual handling tasks are part of the job.
n
12. A current forklift license.
n
13. Familiarity with Melbourne and its surrounding suburbs.
n
14. Experience in handling multiple deliveries, typically exceeding 10 deliveries per day.
n
15. Strong organizational skills.
n
