About the Opportunity
n
As a Trauma Data Manager, you will provide administration and clerical support to the manager and team, helping to facilitate the smooth day-to-day operation of the unit. Working under general instruction and broad supervision, you'll bring initiative and sound judgement to a busy, varied workload.
n
As the Trauma Data Manager, you will be responsible for:
n
n
Works collaboratively with the MLHD Trauma Team and various members of the Trauma disciplines
n
Ensures data is entered weekly and up to date for all trauma patients meeting minimum dataset criteria.
n
Abstracts clinical and trauma service documentation required for the statewide trauma registry (NSW TORQUE) and Australian trauma registry.
n
Ensures data quality and performs monthly validation completeness checks.
n
Ensures trauma service compliance with current NSW trauma minimum dataset requirements.
n
Performs audits of process indicators on all trauma-related admissions.
n
Prepares monthly activity and outcomes reports for the hospital trauma committee.
n
Analyses and reports on local trauma activity and relevant local and statewide process indicators, using data from the trauma registry.
n
Queries local trauma registry data and uses related data visualisation tools to generate ad hoc reports as requested by trauma clinicians and quality improvement initiatives teams.

About You
n
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Experience working in a similar support role in a complex organisation as an effective team member
n
Ability to make positive decisions about work priorities and achieve key tasks effectively in a busy work are
n
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, with attention to detail in writing and good listening skills
n
Demonstrated high level computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft and Windows based applications and email systems, and/or experience in other information and record keeping systems
n
A commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
n
Motivation and initiative in relation to known work procedures,
and the ability to work under broad supervision
n
A willingness to travel for work purposes
n
A current National Police Check and Class C Drivers Licence
