The Role
We are seeking experienced Community Workers to join our Queensland House team in Redbank Plains.
This rewarding role involves supporting a male participant with complex mental health needs to achieve his individual goals, maintain independence, develop life skills, and actively participate in his community. You will play a vital role in providing person-centred support, promoting wellbeing, and creating a secure, positive, and empowering workplace that enhances the participant's quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in age-appropriate activities and tasks
Provide personal care and daily living support
Support community access and participation in activities
Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
Administer medication in accordance with policy and training
Complete progress notes and documentation
Follow individual support plans and risk management procedures
Work in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements
About You
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Community Worker
Experience supporting participants with mental health needs and behaviours of concern
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with participants and their support networks
Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or equivalent (preferred)
Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Reliable vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insurance
Current Blue Card / Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
