A leading infrastructure services organisation is seeking an experienced Asphalt Supervisorto join their growing team in Townsville.

This is an excellent chance for an experienced supervisor with a robust asphalt background to take responsibility for leading crews, delivering high-quality outcomes, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to client expectations.

The Role

n

Reporting into the Department Manager and working closely with the Project Management team, you will be responsible for:

n

n
Leading and supervising asphalt crews to achieve safe, productive, and high-quality project outcomes.
n
Planning daily works, ensuring crews have a explicit understanding of scope, safety requirements, and production targets.
n
Coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure works are delivered efficiently.
n
Managing site activities including safety, quality assurance, testing, traffic control, milling, line marking, and equipment requirements.
n
Monitoring workplace hazards, risks, and incidents while promoting a strong safety culture.
n
Supporting toolbox meetings, pre-starts, and the implementation of SWMS and site procedures.
n




Ensuring works are completed within required timeframes and to project specifications.
n

About You

n

The successful candidate will ideally have:

n

n
Proven experience supervising asphalt crews within an infrastructure, civil construction, or roadworks environment.
n
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage site teams.
n
A solid understanding of asphalt operations, production requirements, and safety standards.
n
The ability to plan and communicate daily works clearly with crews and stakeholders.
n
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
n
Experience interpreting basic contract requirements, specifications, and quality systems.
n
A valid driver's licence and flexibility to work nights and weekends when required.
n
