JAE is a mechanical engineering business that specialises in the manufacturing and refurbishment of coal mining machines and equipment, in accordance with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) specifications and government legislations.
n
JAE is searching for an Engineering Manager to join their team who will report to the Operations Manager.
n
These tasks include:
n
n
Actively work with the team to drive improvement initiatives, quantify benefits and track performance;
n
Determine, implement and monitor engineering strategies, policies and plans;
n
Ensure conformity with specifications and plans, and with laws, regulations and safety standards;
n
Establish project / job schedules to manage workflow and budgets;
n
Instil a growth and learning mind-set within the Engineering Department to increase overall strength;
n
Interpret drawings,



specifications and plans to provide advice on engineering methods and procedures to achieve manufacturing requirements;
n
Liaise with senior management regarding engineering aspects of recent product design;
n
Maintain and ensure prescribed engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed;
n
Oversee maintenance requirements to optimise efficiency;
n
Participate in research and development projects, establishing processes to identify opportunities and improvements on delivering innovative products.

To be considered you will need a relevant degree or higher with two years minimum relevant employment experience or at least five years of relevant employment experience to substitute for the formal qualification.
n
