Established over 30 years ago, DK Fabrics is a proudly family-owned and operated fabric retailer based in Hindmarsh. Our large 1,800m2 store is one of the most well-known destinations for fabrics, sewing supplies, and craft materials in South Australia.

We are passionate about providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service, and we are looking for a motivated Sales Assistant to join our friendly and experienced team.

About the Role

n

We are seeking a Part time Sales Assistant to support day-to-day retail operations. This is a customer-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and has an interest in fabrics, sewing, or crafts.

n

You will be part of a supportive team, helping customers find the right products while contributing to the smooth running of the store.

n

Key Responsibilities

Deliver friendly, helpful, and professional customer service
n
Assist customers with fabric selection, product advice, and general enquiries
n
Process sales and support day-to-day retail operations
n
Receive, unpack, and merchandise stock deliveries
n




Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented store
n
Work collaboratively within a small team setting
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
Previous experience in retail or customer service
n
Experience in fabric retail, sewing, or craft environments will be highly regarded
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
A positive, helpful, and customer-focused attitude
n
Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge
n
Strong reliability and attention to detail
n
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n
Flexibility to work across Monday–Saturday (10:00am–5:00pm)
