Lead Veterinarian – Small Animal Practice | Melbourne North
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Veterinarian to join and support a passionate small animal team located in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian with strong general practice experience who enjoys mentoring others, building a positive team culture and taking an active role in shaping the future direction of a clinic.

Our client operates a modern, purpose-built veterinary clinic designed to deliver exceptional patient care and an outstanding client experience.
The clinic is supported by an experienced Practice Manager and a skilled nursing team, creating an environment where the Lead Veterinarian can focus on clinical leadership, team development and high-quality veterinary care.

The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position where the successful candidate will:
Work alongside the veterinary and nursing team providing high-quality general practice care
Mentor and support veterinarians and nurses through knowledge sharing and clinical guidance
Promote excellent standards of patient care and client communication
Help shape clinic culture and contribute ideas for continued growth
Work closely with the Practice Manager on clinic operations and performance
Support team development through regular meetings, training and collaborative discussions

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Veterinary degree from an accredited university
Current registration with the relevant Veterinary Board
Minimum three years' veterinary experience
Confidence managing all aspects of general practice
Strong communication and leadership skills
A passion for mentoring and developing others
A positive, proactive approach with a strong focus on teamwork
The ability to balance clinical excellence with strong client relationships
