HR Medical Waste Driver | Sunshine Coast Region

Engage is seeking a reliable and safety-focused HR Medical Waste Driver to join a leading waste management company servicing healthcare facilities throughout the Sunshine Coast region.

n

This is a physically demanding role suited to someone who enjoys being on the road, providing excellent customer service, and isn't afraid of hands-on work.

What's on Offer

n
$39.89 per hour + overtime and penalty rates
n
3-month temporary role with the prospect for permanent employment
n
Monday to Friday roster with occasional weekend and public holiday work
n
Shift start times between 12:00am and 5:00pm (no fixed start time)
n
Typical shifts of 8–12 hours
n
Forest Glen staging location servicing the Sunshine Coast
n
Applicants should ideally reside on the Sunshine Coast or between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast
n

Key Responsibilities

n
Safely collect and deliver medical waste to healthcare facilities
n
Load and unload medical waste bins weighing up to 30kg
n
Complete scheduled delivery runs safely and on time
n




Maintain excellent customer service at all delivery locations
n
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
n
Communicate effectively with the operations team regarding deliveries and any issues encountered
n

About You

n
Current HR Licence (automatic restriction accepted)
n
Previous delivery driving experience preferred
n
Robust work ethic with reliable attendance
n
Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting, bending and standing throughout the day
n
Safety-focused with excellent communication skills
n
Forklift Licence advantageous but not essential
n
Understands this is a hands-on role, not just driving between locations
n

Pre-Employment Requirements

Complete company WH&S; induction prior to commencement

National Police Check
n
Drug & Alcohol Screening
n
Hepatitis A & B vaccinations

n
COVID-19 vaccination preferred
