The Role
n
A new opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to work in Mills Oakley's Commercial Disputes and Insolvency practice in Perth. Supporting two highly recognised Partners and a team of lawyers, your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
n
n
Diary management and work prioritisation;
n
Preparing and formatting litigation documents and correspondence, including attending to amendments;
n
Electronic filing of all Court documents in all Courts;
n
Compiling and maintaining Court document files;
n
Compilation of briefs to Counsel and experts;
n
File opening and closing, system and matter management;
n
Assisting with monthly billing and client reports;
n
Document management on legal practice management software; and
n
General administrative support to solicitors.

The expectation would be that the ideal candidate can undertake the above work promptly and exercise initiative in undertaking that work.
n
Who We Are Looking For
n
The ideal candidate will have:
n
n
At least 3 years' experience as a legal assistant in a litigation practice
n
Excellent communication skills with a solid client service focus
n
Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and have a proven history of meeting deadlines
n
Intermediate to advanced skills using the Microsoft Office suite
n
