The Opportunity

We are currently seeking aSeniorAnalyst to join our national Data Analytics team, based in
ourMelbourneoffice.
The ideal candidate will have1-2 yearsof data analytics experience, and a passion for all things data.
n
Our Data Analytics team bring together the disciplines of computer science, mathematics,
statistics,econometricsand
financial accounting with decades of combined cross-industry experience. Our team works following a robust and
structuredmethodologytoidentifyall
the relevant inputs and transform them into actionable solutions that will meet the requirements and add value to our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Work withpartners and senior members of the data analytics teamto define problems and prioritise business and information needs;
n
Develop data collection systems andacquiredata from primary or secondary sourcesrequiredto support our work;
n




Conduct a quality assurance process to address any data issuesencountered;
n
Developing diagnostic,
descriptive,predictiveor
prescriptive models to provide solutions and satisfy
client,stakeholderand/or
project requirements;
n
Use analytical tools toexaminelarge and complex datasets
toidentifytrends,patternsand
anomalies, and translate findings into clear insights and recommendations
n
Interpretdata sets and derive insights paying particular attention to trends and patterns valuable to provide impactful conclusions
andrecommendations.
n
Designing and developing
effective,interactiveand
impactfuldashboardsutilising
Power BI.
n
Support the Forensic team on investigations,
disputes,payrollcalculationsandotheradvisory
matters by providing robust, defensible analytical outputs.
n

About you
n
n
A graduate of aSTEM‐relateddegree, witha strong foundationin quantitative and analytical disciplines.
n
Possess a genuine passion and understanding of the data analytics activities including datacollection, data
cleansing,modellingandvisualisation
;
n




Strong analytical skills with the ability toobtain insights fromsignificant amounts of data accurately and with strong attention to detail.
n
A methodical and logical problem solver witha high levelof numeracy and mathematical capability.
n
Experience in programming or analytics tools such as Alteryx, Python, Visual Basic and or SQL.
n
Familiaritywith database management software such as
SQL,OracleorPostgreSQL
;
n
Are familiar with data visualisation toolssuch asPower BI orTableau;
n
Proficient across the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
n
Able to manage multiple projects concurrently, with an understanding of deadlines and competing priorities.
n
