This one's for corporate and institutional banking credit professionals only — if that's not your background, this probably isn't the role for you.
n
What you'll need to have done:
n
n
5+ years in a credit role within corporate or institutional banking
n
Built financial models and assigned risk grades on corporate facilities
n
Written credit papers and presented recommendations to a credit committee
n
Dealt directly with clients and brokers, not just internal stakeholders
n
n
What the role adds that traditional banking credit doesn't:
n
n
A seat closer to the deal — you'll prepare expression of interest letters, term sheets and facility recommendations that go straight to relationship managers and the credit committee,
not several layers removed from the client
n
Direct exposure to construction and engineering markets, researching sectors, clients and competitors rather than working off a generic industry template
n
A smaller, high-performing team where your credit calls carry real weight, in a business that's a genuine challenger to the major banks
n
n
This isn't a lateral move for the sake of a recent logo. It's a step toward more ownership over the credit decision, in a business growing quick enough to need senior judgement, not just process.
n
If your CV has "corporate banking" or "institutional banking" credit experience on it and you want more of the decision and less of the queue
