Industrial Communications Specialist (Network)

Adelaide, South Australia 3-Month Contract | Likely Extension FIFO from Adelaide or Port Augusta 12-Hour Shifts | 8/6 Roster (Thursday-to-Thursday Rotation)

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Communications Specialist (Network) to support critical operational technology (OT) and IT network infrastructure at a major mining operation. This is an excellent opportunity for networking professionals with industrial or operational technology experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced, site-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Maintain the stability and performance of OT and IT network infrastructure.
n
Monitor network health and respond proactively to incidents and outages.
n
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimise production downtime.
n
Configure and support new network connections and infrastructure.
n
Perform planned maintenance and change activities safely and efficiently.
n
Support break-fix activities to restore critical production systems.
n
Engage with site stakeholders during incidents, maintenance, and change activities.
n
Work a roster including both day and night shifts.
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
n
Strong networking experience with solid knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking.
n




Experience with Cisco Switching, Routing, and Wireless LAN Controllers.
n
Knowledge of Cisco Wireless Technologies.
n
Experience designing high-level network solutions.
n
Understanding of SCADA and Process Control Networks.
n
Experience with Cisco Industrial Switches.
n
Experience with Cambium Point-to-Point (P2P) technologies.
n
Knowledge of Fleet Management Networks and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
n
CCNA certification is highly regarded.
n
Mining or industrial operational experience is highly desirable.
n
Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
n
Strong time management and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
n
