About Your New Role
n
As the Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of the technical and design delivery of substation projects from early development through to construction, commissioning and energisation.
n
You will manage external design consultants, review and challenge technical deliverables, resolve design issues and work closely with internal engineering and project teams to ensure projects remain on track.
n
This role is suited to an Electrical Engineer with strong substation experience who can combine technical expertise with project, consultant and client management.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead HV/EHV substation design delivery from concept through to energisation
n
Manage external engineering consultants and design deliverables
n
Review designs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation
n
Lead technical discussions with clients, consultants and contractors
n
Resolve RFIs, design issues and construction related technical queries
n
Support technical specifications and equipment procurement
n
Manage design risks, interfaces, programmes and technical issues
n

About You
n
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
n
n
Electrical engineering degree with strong HV substation experience
n
Experience managing 132kV and higher substation design delivery across the project lifecycle
n
Robust understanding of HV substation design and technical specifications
n
Experience managing external engineering consultants
n
Ability to lead client, consultant and contractor meetings
n
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
