Recruitment Incentive
n
This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro‐rated to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
n
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs to support ongoing professional clinical development of nursing and midwifery staff, ensuring quality care outcomes for patients and clients.
n
Serve as a highly valued and vital position within the Far West LHD, advancing staff skills to provide exceptional patient care.
n
Possess vast clinical experience and tertiary qualifications in education and training.
n

Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
n
Current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor (currently Certificate IV) or willingness to work towards and attain a certificate within 12 months of commencement.
n
Demonstrated three years' experience as a Registered Nurse providing preceptorship and mentoring to clinicians using adult learning principles and facilitation skills.
n
Credentialed as an Advanced Life Support Instructor, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of commencement.
n
Evidence of participation in personal professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancing skills as a Registered Nurse.
n
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, advanced written and verbal communication skills, and advanced computer skills using software programs to develop and deliver education.
n
Eligibility to drive in NSW and readiness to travel across rural and remote areas.
