About the Role
n
As the Workshop Operations Manager / Senior Tech, you will oversee the daily flow of our busy Hornsby workshop while staying hands‐on with high-level repairs and diagnostic work.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Oversee and direct daily workshop operations to ensure smooth, efficient workflow
n
Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of marine engines and systems
n
Plan and schedule jobs, work orders, and maintenance programs
n
Lead,



mentor, and train technicians and apprentices
n
Liaise directly with customers, suppliers, and internal management
n
Assist with spare parts management, stock control, and job costing when required
n
Maintain high standards of quality control, workshop safety, and compliance
n
n
About You
n
n
Qualifications: Trade Certified Marine Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle / Automotive Mechanic with strong marine experience
n
Experience: 3+ years in a senior or supervisory role within a workshop environment preferred
n
Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of marine engine systems (outboards, inboards, electronics). Mercury experience is a huge plus!
n
Leadership: Strong communication and team management skills with a positive, problem-solving attitude
n
Requirements: Current Driver's Licence (Forklift licence highly regarded)
