Partnered with our host BDR Stainless Holdings, we are seeking a full-time 1st Year Boilermaker Apprentice to join the team.

Completing this four-year apprenticeshipwill give you the opportunity to become a
qualifiedBoilermakerand
earn aMEM***** Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking).
n
Ideal for mechanically inclined individuals, this role focuses on operational and mechanical functions.
n
It offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical skills, earn a nationally recognised qualification, and build a strong foundation for a long-term career in the field.
n
BDR Stainless operates across a wide range of industries, including (but not limited to) Energy & Resources, Mining, Oil & Gas, Government & Infrastructure, Power Regeneration, and Food & Beverage.
n
As part of your professional development, you will work under the guidance and mentorship of experienced industry professionals. This role offers a combination of hands‐on experience and theoretical training across the greater Brisbane area.
n
Please note:Saturday work may be required depending on operational needs.
n
Responsibilities include:
n

General cleaning and maintenance tasks
n
Use of hand and power tools
n
Operation of fixed plant equipment
n
Metal grinding and cutting
n
Operation of industrial machinery such as band saws, brake press, guillotine, welders, lathe and milling machine
n
Full time contract including paid annual and personal leave
n
Access to 1:1 mentoring
n




Full-time 4-year contract including paid annual and personal leave
n
Opportunity to access Government subsidy payments of up to a total of $**** for the first 2 years of your apprenticeship paid in 6 month instalments

About You
n
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual who is eager to gain a qualification in Boilermaking.
n
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and qualifications:
n
n
Previous experience with stainless steel products or piping (advantageous)
n
Strong communication and active listening skills
n
A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
n
Manual driver's licence (required)
n
White Card (required)
n
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence (advantageous)
n
Forklift licence (advantageous)
n
High Risk Work licence (advantageous)
n
Be able to pass a Medical, Drug and Alcohol screening, and a Police Check
n
