Job Description

An established private building certification consultancy is seeking an A3 Building Certifier to join their Brisbane office, located in the inner northern suburbs.
n This is an office‐based role focused on assessment, compliance, and certification support across a diverse range of residential and commercial projects. You will work closely with senior certifiers, designers, builders, and local authorities to ensure applications and approvals meet legislative and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Assess building approval applications in accordance with the NCC, QDC, and relevant legislation
n
Review plans, documentation, and technical reports for compliance
n
Issue development approvals, building permits, and associated certification documentation
n
Liaise with builders, designers, consultants, and councils regarding compliance matters
n
Provide technical advice and certification support under supervision of senior certifiers
n
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with statutory requirements
n
Support inspection scheduling and certification processes as required
n

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

n

n




Current A3 Building Certifier accreditation (QLD)
n
Sound knowledge of the NCC, QDC, and Queensland building legislation
n
Experience assessing residential and/or commercial projects
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
High attention to detail and solid organisational skills
n
Ability to work collaboratively in an office‐based team setting
n
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and certification systems
n
