We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced BIM & Prefabrication Specialist join our NSW Air Construction team on a full-time basis, located in Silverwater. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality mechanical design documentation, Revit modelling, and coordinated 3D project deliverables across major commercial and infrastructure projects, while

Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Develop mechanical design documentation, workshop drawings and detailed drafting deliverables using Revit and associated drafting software.
n
Develop, review and coordinate BIM models for mechanical and HVAC systems.
n
Assist with the preparation of coordinated design and construction drawings for commercial projects.
n
Work with project managers, engineers, supervisors and site teams to ensure drawings are accurate, practical and aligned with project requirements.
n
Participate in design coordination and clash resolution with other services and project stakeholders.
n
Prepare and update shop drawings, as-built drawings, layouts, schematics and drawing registers as required.
n
Review architectural, structural and services information to ensure mechanical documentation is coordinated and buildable.
n
Support design development through the various stages of the project, including tender, design, construction and handover.
n
Ensure documentation is produced in accordance with NCC, Australian Standards,



client requirements and company drafting standards.
n
Assist with document control, revision management and the timely issue of drawings to meet project deadlines.
n
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders where required to incorporate technical information into project documentation.
n
Maintain a high standard of quality, accuracy, safety and continuous improvement in all drafting outputs.
n

Successful Candidate Will Have:
n
n
Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a similar mechanical drafting / BIM modelling role on large commercial or light industrial projects.
n
Demonstrated experience using Revit for electrical drafting and 3D modelling.
n
Solid understanding of commercial mechanical services documentation, including lighting, power, communications, containment and distribution systems.
n
Experience preparing coordinated construction drawings, workshop drawings and as-built documentation.
n
Solid knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, NCC and general building services coordination requirements.
n
Ability to read and interpret engineering sketches, design mark-ups, specifications and consultant documentation.
n
Advance Microsoft Office experience, including MS projects
n
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
n
Ability to work autonomously

High level of attention to detail and time management skills
n
Use of initiative and problem-solving skills
n
Ability to work in a team environment and independently
n
Positive team player with a can do attitude
n
