I'm currently seeking experienced Trade Qualified Boilermakers to join a busy workshop in Mount Thorley, NSW, carrying out the repair, maintenance and fabrication of heavy mining equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing employment with a well-established company, that work nationally in Australia.

Location: Mount Thorley, NSW (Workshop Based)
n
Pay Rate: Up to $***** per hour + penalties, depending on experience
n
Roster: Monday - Friday (potential for weekend work)
n
Hours: ***** hour days
n
Employment: Ongoing, full-time chance
n
Start Date: Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Carry out repair, maintenance and fabrication of heavy mining equipment
n
Perform Flux Core (FCAW) welding on heavy metal components
n
Read and interpret engineering drawings to complete fabrication tasks accurately
n
Fabricate, cut, weld and assemble heavy steel components to specification
n
Diagnose and repair worn or damaged plant and equipment components
n
Carry out fault-finding and structural repairs on fixed plant and mobile mining equipment
n
Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
n
Work within quality and safety standards on all fabrication and repair tasks
n
n




What We're Looking For
n
n
Trade Qualified Boilermaker (Certificate III Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent)
n
Demonstrated experience with Flux Core (FCAW) welding
n
Strong background in heavy metal fabrication
n
Experience repairing mining equipment or heavy industrial machinery
n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n
Relevant trade qualifications, tickets and licences
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
Previous Leading Hand, Supervisor or other leadership experience
n
Forklift, Overhead Crane, Dogging, Rigging, Working at Heights, Confined Space or other relevant industry tickets
n
Experience working in mining, heavy industrial or fixed plant maintenance environments
n
n
