The Opportunity
As the Bookkeeping Manager, you will manage a portfolio of clients while overseeing the workflow and quality of work completed by an offshore bookkeeping team.
With transactional processing handled by offshore staff, your focus will be on higher-level bookkeeping, financial reporting,
compliance, and client advisory support. This role offers an excellent pathway toward management accounting and broader leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients
Review and oversee work completed by offshore team members
Prepare and review BAS and IAS lodgements
Complete workpapers and financial reports
Prepare financial statements and management reports
Manage superannuation payments and compliance requirements
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Monitor workflows and ensure deadlines are consistently met
Support process improvements and best-practice bookkeeping procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 6 years' bookkeeping experience within a public practice accounting firm
Strong working knowledge of Xero
Experience preparing BAS, IAS, financial statements, reports, and compliance documentation
Excellent understanding of bookkeeping and accounting processes
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Qualified communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients
Previous leadership or review experience will be highly regarded
