VMware Consultant

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
Design and implement standard VMware solutions
n
Lead small projects or workstreams
n
Manage VMware infrastructure including compute, storage, and networking
n
Handle cluster configurations and performance tuning
n
Support hybrid/cloud-based VMware environments
n
Create and maintain technical documentation
n

n

Required Skills:

n

n




Robust hands-on experience with VMware vSphere
n
Solid understanding of HA, DRS, lifecycle management
n
Experience with distributed switches and NIC teaming
n
Storage knowledge including SAN/NAS and VMware vSAN
n
Exposure to VMware NSX (basic to intermediate)
n
Backup/DR solutions and cloud platforms (VMware Cloud, Azure VMware Solution, etc.)
n

n

Troubleshooting Skills:

n

n
Diagnose CPU, memory, and storage performance issues
n
Resolve cluster, host, and network configuration issues
n
Log analysis and root cause identification
n

n

Certifications:

n

n
VCP (mandatory), working towards VCAP preferred
n

n

Additional Notes:
