About the Role
n
As the Workshop Operations Manager / Senior Tech, you will oversee the daily flow of our busy Hornsby workshop while staying hands-on with high-level repairs and diagnostic work.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Oversee and direct daily workshop operations to ensure smooth, efficient workflow.
n
Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of marine engines and systems.
n
Plan and schedule jobs, work orders,



and maintenance programs.
n
Lead, mentor, and train technicians and apprentices.
n
Liaise directly with customers, suppliers, and internal management.
n
Assist with spare parts management, stock control, and job costing when required.
n
Maintain high standards of quality control, workshop safety, and compliance.
n

About You
n
n
Qualifications:Trade
Certified Marine Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle / Automotive Mechanic with strong marine experience.
n
Experience:3+ years in a senior or supervisory role within a workshop environment preferred.
n
Technical Skills:Solid knowledge of marine engine systems (outboards, inboards, electronics). Mercury experience is a huge plus!
n
Leadership:Strong communication and team management skills with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
n
Requirements:Current
Driver's Licence (Forklift licence highly regarded).
