The Organisation:

Specialised federal government department operating in a niche industry.
n
The Role:
n We are working with a government department that is looking for an APS6 financial business partner for a 12 months non-ongoing contract.
n
In this role you'll be working under the direction of the EL1 and liaising directly with non-accounting staff. Your role is to drive cohesion and support the line areas with all aspects of finance.
n
This includes:
n
n
Provide financial reporting, variance analysis and face-to-face meetings with divisional clients
n
Manage and perform end of month financial tasks (e.g. journals, accruals, recs.)
n
Management of divisions' budgets and forecasts
n




Support project managers with the delivery of their projects through effective financial management
n
n
Finance business partnering roles offer a lot of variety and broad options in your career going forward. In this department you may also have the opportunity to learn more about, and support the internal budget function.

They have a strong EL2 leading the finance function who has developed a reputation for mentoring and developing staff.
n
Depending on staff movements there is the potential for permanency in this role in the future.
n Your Skills and Experience:
n You have worked in a management accounting or finance business partner role at the APS6 level previously. You must be able to demonstrate robust communication skills and the ability to develop business relationships.
n
You must also be able demonstrate experience of coordinating and delivering monthly management reporting packs and providing analysis and advice related to this.
n
You must be an Australian Citizen and hold at least a baseline security clearance.
