n They are currently seeking a Chemist to join their team in a full time ongoing role, with solid potential to become permanent!
n Unique opportunity for individuals with a Science background to gain valuable, hands‐on experience in an Industrial Chemistry Setting.
n
Duties:
n
n
Organise and unpack chemical waste
n
Sort chemicals into their classes
n
Decant and dispose chemical waste
n
Package chemical waste for destruction
n
Wear PPE (full-face respirators, chemical suits, face shields, etc.)
n
Test chemicals to determine their composition and flammability
n
n
Key Considerations:
n
n
Primarily a warehouse/yard-based role (not a lab setting)
n
Majority of work is hands‐on/manual
n
Manual handling required (lifting up to 25kg drums)
n
Exposure to a wide range of chemicals (from basic to more complex materials
n
n
Skills & Experience:
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Science or Engineering
n
Knowledge of safe chemical handling
n
Previous warehouse experience - highly regarded
n
Ability to lift up to 25kg
n
Can-do attitude, enthusiastic to work
n
Ability to work in a rapid‐paced environment
n
n
