Job Description
Osborn House is a lovingly restored, impeccably styled 5-star luxury boutique hotel in Bundanoon NSW ****. The restaurant in the Hotel offers carefully curated menus that tell a story of the seasons. The menus change regularly and they can be tasted while enjoying the views across Morton National Park.

Osborn House is now looking for an experienced Cook to join their team.
n
The right candidate will be responsible for:
n
n
Prepare and cook a variety of contemporary Australian and Latin American-inspired dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
n
Assist with the preparation and portioning of fresh seasonal ingredients, including premium meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and garnishes.
n
Support the preparation of dishes for à la carte, open-fire dining, and private functions while maintaining consistency and presentation.
n
Work across multiple kitchen sections, including grill, larder, hot line, and preparation, as directed by senior chefs.
n
Follow recipes, cooking techniques, and plating specifications to ensure high-quality food production.
n
Assist senior chefs during busy lunch, dinner, and event services to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
n
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas.
n
Monitor stock within assigned sections and assist with receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
n
Liaise with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and timely service for restaurant and event guests.
n
Safely handle, store, thaw, and prepare food in accordance with food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.
n
Check food quality, cooking temperatures, and presentation before dishes leave the kitchen.
n
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures while maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment.

About you:
n
n
At least 1 year of experience as a Cook;
n
Sound knowledge of contemporary Australian cuisine and live-fire cooking techniques.
n
Ability to prepare and cook high-quality à la carte, open-fire, and function menu items using seasonal produce.
n
Experience working efficiently in a fast-paced luxury hotel or restaurant kitchen while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
n
Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering exceptional guest dining experiences.
n
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams.
n
Positive knowledge of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and workplace health and safety requirements.
n
Skilled in food preparation, portion control, stock rotation, and safe food handling practices.
n
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and plating standards while working under pressure.
n
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and maintain a clean and efficient work area.
n

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. Salary: $79,000 - $85,000.
