Job Description
n
Preparation of monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management reports and cashflow statements
n
Managing the general ledger including overseeing the monthly balance sheet, banking and inter-company reconciliations
n
Completion of the monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets and depreciation schedules
n
Weekly cash flow reporting
n
Managing foreign currency payments (if required)
n
Preparation of GST, FBT, payroll and corporate income tax returns
n
Assisting in the preparation of end of year statutory accounts
n
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
n
Ensuring accounting standards and policies are adhered to
n
Reporting consolidated results at Group level
n
Internal reporting for global entities (where required)
n
Liaison with external auditors, bank managers and tax specialists
n
Assisting in process improvement and systems enhancement activities
n
Proactively identify new initiatives that could benefit the organisation
n

General

Comply with all company policies, procedures, processes and programs
n
Report all incidents, near misses and hazards (including environmental)
n




Ensure their own health and safety while at work and the health and safety of others as far as reasonably practicable

Participate in WHSE training and development as required
n
Wear appropriate and correctly fitted PPE when required
n
Undertake specific job-related WHSE responsibilities as outlined in the Integrated Management System and operational procedures
n

Requirements and Qualifications
n
n
Degree qualified in Accountancy, Finance or related field
n
Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in accounting
n
Experience in a Charted Accounting firm advantageous
n
Strong commercial and business acumen
n
Process and deadline driven with a sharp eye for detail
n
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
n
Solid negotiator who can develop ongoing working relationships
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Ability to perform data and statistical analysis to identify trends and anomalies
n
Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other financial software and tools for reporting and analysis purposes
n
Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA
n
