Position Summary
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Senior Finance Manager - Reporting is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our renewable energy projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management.
This is a 9-month parental leave cover.
The role is ideally suited for a sharp, detail-oriented candidate with ESG experience to join our Finance team and help guide the business in alignment with the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standard (ASRS) - AASB S2.
The role involves coaching a team of finance professionals and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical accounting advice to business partners
Develop and implement internal accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance financial reporting processes
Identify and implement process enhancements in SAP that drive efficiency and effectiveness
Actively lead the half-year and year-end reporting process to meet external and internal financial reporting requirements while driving excellence and accuracy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project financial performance and reporting requirements
Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Experience and knowledge
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards
Experience with financial software and ERP systems, along with advanced Excel skills for data analysis

Solid Technical Accounting skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Strong understanding of ESG reporting standards and regulatory frameworks
Proven ability to manage data, lead projects, and engage stakeholders effectively
Exceptional communication skills, able to translate complex ESG concepts into clear narratives
Qualifications
CA/CPA
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
