Wet Fire Systems Estimator (Melb or Perth)

A leading Australian fire protection contractor delivering high-quality fire sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, fire detection and special hazard systems across commercial, industrial and residential projects.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Wet Fire Systems Estimator to join our team.

n

About the Role

n

As a Wet Fire Systems Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a wide range of fire protection projects. You will work closely with our design and project teams to develop cost-effective solutions while maintaining compliance with Australian Standards and client specifications.

n

This role could be based in either Melbourne (Vic) or Perth (WA).

Key Responsibilities

n

n
Prepare detailed estimates and quotations for wet fire projects.
n
Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
n
Perform material take-offs and labour estimates.
n
Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor pricing.
n
Identify risks, exclusions and value engineering prospects.
n
Liaise with clients, consultants and builders during the tender process.
n
Assist with tender submissions and handover to project delivery teams.
n

About You

n

Ideally you will have:

n

n
Experience estimating wet fire systems (Sprinklers, Hydrants, Hose Reels and Pump Sets).
n
Solid understanding of Australian Standards, particularly AS 2118 and AS 2419.
n
Experience interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
n
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
n
High attention to detail.
n
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
n
Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
n
Experience in Design & Construct (D&C;) projects.
n
Knowledge of hydraulic calculations and fire protection system design.
n
