Job Description
The StrokeLinkprogram is part of Stroke Foundation's Health Service Improvement workstreamand plays a critical role in improving the quality of stroke care acrossAustralia.
The program ensures health professionals working in stroke careunderstand and apply evidence-based care through education, qualityimprovementinitiatives,performance monitoring, and access to clinical resources.

Working in partnership with Queensland Health's Queensland StrokeClinical Network (QSCN), Health Improvement Unit (HIU), health services andhealth professionals, the program focuses on improving stroke treatment andcare, supporting quality improvement activities, and increasing engagement withStroke Foundation programs and resources.

About the role
Reporting to theQuality Improvement Manager, the StrokeLink Coordinator QLD is part of thenational quality improvement team and will focus on supportingunderperformingstrokeservices across Queensland.
This roleworkscollaborativelywith health professionals, hospital leaders, qualityimprovement teams and key stakeholders to enhance stroke care througheducation, stakeholder engagement, quality improvement activities andimplementation of evidence-based practice.
The position also supports statewideand national stroke improvement initiatives in partnership with QueenslandHealth and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Engage withhealth professionals from acute and rehabilitation stroke services acrossQueensland.
Buildstrongrelationshipswith hospital leaders, clinical champions and quality improvementteams.
Deliver targetedsupport to health services, including quality improvement workshops, localeducation sessions and improvement planning activities.
Support thedevelopment, implementation and monitoring of quality improvement action plans.
Partner withQueensland Health to support statewide stroke improvementinitiatives,includingnational stroke targets and Stroke Centre Certification activities.
Facilitateconnectionsbetween underperforming and high-performing services to encourageknowledge sharing and improvement.
Contribute to thedevelopment and delivery of professional development opportunities forhealthprofessionals.
Promote StrokeFoundation programs, resources and services to health professionals andconsumers.
Represent StrokeFoundation at conferences, forums, events and stakeholder networks.
Assist withreporting requirements and other activities relevant to service delivery.
Your background, skills and experience
Tertiaryqualificationin nursing or a relevant allied health discipline, including:SocialWork,ClinicalPsychology,SpeechPathology,Physiotherapy,OccupationalTherapy,Dieteticsor equivalenthealth-related qualification.
Excellent verbaland written communication skills.
Demonstratedstakeholderengagement and relationship-building skills.
Ability toinfluence and support system and clinical practice change.
Strongfacilitation,education and presentation skills.
Ability toquickly build rapport,
assess needs and provide practical advice and support.
Proven ability towork collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and organisations.
Strongorganisationalskills with the ability to manage competing priorities and solvecomplex problems.
High proficiencyin Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint andExcel.
Experienceworking within the Australian healthcare system, particularly hospitalsettings.
Experiencesupportingquality improvement initiatives and improving patient care outcomes.
Experiencedevelopingand implementing projects, plans or improvement initiatives.
Experiencemanaging or working with volunteers and diverse stakeholder groups will behighly regarded
Essential knowledge in:
Stroke treatmentand care, particularly in clinical settings.
Australianhealthcareand community service systems.
Qualityimprovement methodologies and approaches.
