About the Role

n

We are seeking the skills of a suitably qualified Heavy Equipment mechanic in Geelong, to carry out repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of equipment and to co-ordinate day to day maintenance related workshop and on-site activities as required.

n

The essential tasks of this role include:

n

n
Onsite mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
n
Good written and electronic communication abilities for Service job data entry and communication of works to the office
n
Repair and maintenance on engine assemblies, transmissions, hydraulics, and other machine-based components
n
Coordination of parts supply and purchase with suppliers
n
Utilising contemporary technology during testing procedures
n
Managing and maintaining service records for TBH assets
n




Provide technical advice & support to customers and other service technicians as required
n
Ability to read CAD engineer drawings and hydraulic / electrical schematics.
n
Perform preventative maintenance
n

What we're looking for

n

The skills and experience required to be successful include:

n

n
A trade qualified Diesel Technician / Mechanic / Fitter, with 2 years practical experience
n
High level problem solving and diagnostic skills
n
Ability to work autonomously and maximise efficiency
n
A high standard of teamwork and intercompany relationships
n
Excellent communication skills and customer service
n
Valid Victorian driver's licence
n
Current EWP License (highly regarded)
n
Forklift licence
n
HR license (highly regarded)
n
A commitment to safety, health and environment procedures
n
