The Machinist is responsible for manufacturing components to specification using CNC milling and turning machines, while maintaining high-quality standards and complying with WHS requirements. The role contributes to productive and cost-effective workshop operations, and supports production by accurately following Engineering drawings, maintaining equipment and completing required documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC milling and turning machines
n
Prepare, cut and sort materials as required for production
n
Maintain machines, tools, and equipment during and after use to ensure safe and productive operation
n
Organise and prioritise work to meet production schedules, target hours and cost budgets
n
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality, in accordance with company procedures
n
Follow company quality and inspection procedures during the manufacturing process
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
Experience operating CNC milling and/or turning machines
n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
n
Excellent understanding of machining, manufacturing and workshop practices
n
Knowledge of WHS requirements in an industrial setting
n
Physically capable of performing workshop duties and manual handling
n
