Position Summary

Principal Cybersecurity Engineer – Location: 8640: Unit 8, 12 Mars Road, Lane Cove West, NSW 2066, Australia. Role Type: Unspecified. On‐site position within the global cybersecurity engineering capability of Collins Aerospace, servicing national Defence programs. Notes: free parking, on‐site EV charging, soft work options and adaptable leave.

Responsibilities

Design and test ICT systems, identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring required controls are implemented.
n
Perform threat modelling for current and existing systems, putting in place necessary controls and mitigations.
n
Evaluate and propose recent ICT and cyber tools for organisational use.
n
Lead and participate in initiatives to enhance ICT security and compliance through automation and policy updates.
n




Create or update ICT standard operating procedures and security management plans, leading accreditation activities.
n
Engage directly with end customers to build trust and credibility through clear solution‐focused communication, influencing key decision‐makers.
n
Coach and mentor team members on cybersecurity designs and compliance.
n

Qualifications

n

n
Knowledge of Windows, Linux and Android operating systems, virtual machines, network servers, security hardening/management, batch files/scripts for process automation.
n
Mandatory prior experience as an ICT tech support and/or ICT security officer.
n
Prior experience in DevSecOps is
