Southern Pacific Sands is a leading supplier of quality washed silica sand, bio-retention filtration media, soil products, and ready-mixed concrete, servicing Brisbane and Southeast Queensland.

We are currently seeking a motivated Heavy Diesel Fitter/Mechanic to join our Maintenance team. We are also happy to consider Light Vehicle Mechanics with a minimum of one year's post-trade experience who are looking to transition into the heavy vehicle industry.

In this hands-on role, you will service, maintain, and carry out repairs on our fleet of Kenworth and Western Star Road trucks, as well as a variety of earthmoving equipment and fixed plant machinery. You will work alongside an experienced team in a supportive setting with opportunities to further develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities

n

Service, maintain, and carry out repairs on Kenworth and Western Star trucks.
n
Perform preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis on heavy vehicles.
n
Service and maintain a range of earthmoving equipment.
n
Carry out repairs and maintenance on fixed plant equipment.
n




Complete local in office servicing and breakdown repairs as required.
n
Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation.
n
Follow safe work procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter/Mechanic or Trade qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic with a minimum of 1 years' experience.
n
Works well in a team.
n
Commitment to workplace health and safety.
n
