Kawana Private Hospital is an accredited, multi-disciplinary day hospital with four operating theatres, delivering a diverse range of surgical services. About the opportunity
n
We are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager - Operating Theatres to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis.
n

Developing effective relations with key stakeholders; including CURA, VMO's and Reps.
n
Managing clinical staff including performance appraisals, production of rosters
n
Promoting and ensuring safe patient care, evidence of previous experience in Quality, and evidence based best practice policy writing
n

The successful applicant will demonstrate:
n
n




Registered General Nurse with APHRA registratrion
n
Post graduate qualification nursing and/or a tertiary qualification in management
n
5 years in senior nursing or management positions
n
Working knowledge of Industrial Relations Acts, regulations and other relevant statutory obligations
n
Knowledge of the regulation of health care professionals
n
Knowledge of ISO **** Accreditation
n
Understanding of contemporary clinical practice
n
Knowledge of the ANMC Competency standards for Registered Nurses
n
Ability to work in a quick-paced environment
n
n
