Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm

About the Role
n
This is a hands-on position working in our outdoor steel yard. You'll be responsible for safely handling materials, preparing customer orders and supporting the team with general yard operations
n
You will be working independently for most of the day, so we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage their workload without constant supervision.
n
This isn't always a fast paced environment. There will be times where there are quieter periods so the ability to stay productive and work unsupervised is important.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Loading and unloading trucks using a forklift
n
Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
n
Putting stock away and maintaining an organised yard
n
Conducting daily forklift safety and pre-start checks
n
General yard duties and housekeeping
n
Basic welding and steel preparation as required
n
Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
n
Occasional local deliveries when required
n
Welding experience
n
Solid work ethic and reliable attendance
n
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
n
Able to work independently and as part of a team
n
n
Desirable (but not essential)
n
n
Steel industry knowledge or experience
n
Light Rigid (LR) or Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence for occasional local deliveries
n
n

You're punctual, motivated and willing to get stuck in.
