Plant Mechanic Trainer and Assessor – Newcastle, NSW

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plant Mechanic Trainer to deliver high-quality training and assessment to students undertaking plant mechanics or mobile plant qualifications. This role is ideal for an experienced industry qualified who enjoys mentoring others and sharing practical knowledge.

About the role

n

As a Plant Mechanic Trainer, you will deliver training aligned with relevant training packages, supporting learners to develop the technical skills and safety awareness required to work in the plant and heavy equipment industry.

Key responsibilities

n

n
Deliver face-to-face and/or online training and assessment
n
Assess student competency in line with training package requirements
n
Develop and maintain training and assessment materials
n
Ensure compliance with RTO and regulatory standards
n




Support and mentor students throughout their learning journey
n

n

About you

n

n
Trade qualification as a Plant Mechanic (or equivalent)
n
Current and relevant industry experience
n
Training and Assessment qualification (TAE40122 or equivalent)
n
Robust knowledge of plant and heavy equipment systems
n
Excellent communication and practical training skills
n

n

Desirable

n

n
Experience delivering training within an RTO or TAFE
n
Experience working with apprentices and adult learners
n
Knowledge of WHS and industry safety standards
n
