We're seeking an experienced APS6 Data Analyst to join a Federal Government agency delivering high-impact data solutions that support critical national services.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Design, develop and maintain enterprise data assets and data products.
n
Analyse, profile and validate complex data from multiple sources.
n
Translate business requirements into coded data transformations.
n
Develop prototypes and new data products to support business outcomes.
n
Perform data quality assessment, testing and defect remediation.
n




Present technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
n
Contribute to code quality, documentation standards and knowledge sharing across the team.
n
Support junior team members and contribute to cooperative problem solving.
n
n
You'll ideally bring experience with:
n
n
Extensive data analysis across large, complex datasets.
n
Strong programming skills in SQL and one or more of Python, SAS or R.
n
Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments.
n
Data modelling, data pipelines and reporting platform architecture.
n
Translating business requirements into technical solutions.
n
Working independently while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
n
Building strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
n
n
Experience with any of the following will be highly regarded:
n
n
Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
n
SAS Viya.
n
Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
n
A willingness to learn new analytics platforms and emerging technologies.
n
n
