, as well as flexible overnight respite in our Cottage for older people, people living with dementia and their carers.

About the Role
Waratah Respite Services is seeking a
Registered Nurse (RN)
to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred care to older people accessing our respite services.
This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients, working as part of a supportive team and providing care that promotes
dignity, independence, wellbeing and quality of life
.
The successful applicant will work
2 days per week
, Monday and Tuesdays, with ability to provide holiday relief and possible future capacity to move to 3 days a week. This position in not expected to work night or evening shifts.



It would be desirable if there was capacity to assist in covering those shifts if there was a staffing crisis.
Role includes client assessments, care plan developments, assisting with bookings, supporting care staff etc.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing safe, professional and person-centred nursing care to our respite clients, while supporting their individual health and wellbeing needs.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Is a
Registered Nurse (minimum 3 years of experience) with a current AHPRA registration
Has experience in aged care, community care, respite or a similar setting
(preferred but not essential)
Has a genuine passion for supporting older people
Demonstrates excellent clinical judgement and communication skills
Is confident working independently as well as within a team
Is reliable, compassionate and professional
Has the flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and occasional overnight shifts
Is committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care
Has 2 Covid Vaccinations and a current Influenza Vaccination (preferred)
