About the role
n
Disability Support Worker for ongoing casual shifts, including sleepovers with the possibility to turn to permanent part time in the future. Your primary responsibility will be supporting people with a broad range of disabilities including autism, epilepsy, psycho-social disability, cognitive support needs, high physical support needs and Acquired Brain Injury.
n
This can involve manual handling, PEG feeding, community access, transportation, personal care, and companionship. This role is perfect for someone with an aperson-centered approach, who is energetic and excited to make a difference in people's life and is passionate about the work they do.

Required skills and attributes
n
n
Experience within the disability sector preferred.
n
Explicit and effective communication skills and ability to establish a professional relationship with participant and their families.
n
Attention to detail and accuracy in record management.
n
Flexibility to work over a 24/7 roster and available to work overnight shifts or attend training or meetings as required.
n
n
Mandatory requirement
n
Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police check, First Aid and CPR. You must have a current Unrestricted Driving License.
