Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Construction Estimator to join our team.

About the Role
n
Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders and estimates for civil construction projects. You will play a key role in securing new work by analysing project documentation, assessing costs, and developing comprehensive pricing submissions.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Review and interpret tender documentation, plans, specifications, and schedules.
n
Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
n
Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
n
Assess construction methodologies and project risks.
n
Develop project budgets and cost plans.
n
Prepare tender clarifications and respond to client queries.
n
Assist with contract reviews and handover to project delivery teams.
n
Maintain estimating databases and pricing schedules.
n
Participate in post-tender negotiations and value engineering opportunities.
n
Monitor market rates and industry trends.
n
n
About You
n
n
Previous experience as an Estimator within the civil construction industry.
n
Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and project delivery.
n
Experience estimating earthworks,



roads, drainage, utilities, subdivisions, or infrastructure projects.
n
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
n
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
n
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
n
High attention to detail and organisational skills.
n
Ability to work independently and meet tender deadlines.
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Project and estimating software.
n
n
Desired Qualifications & Experience
n
n
Qualification/experience
in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
n
Minimum 3 years' estimating experience in civil construction.
n
Experience with local government, state government, and private sector tenders.
n
Knowledge of Australian Standards and construction contracts.
n
Experience with project management or estimating software is highly regarded.
n
