THE ROLE
As a
Cruise Travel Consultant
, you'll work with high-end clients looking to book memorable cruise holidays throughout Australia and around the world.
You'll manage enquiries via
phone and email only – there are no walk-in clients
, allowing you to focus on building relationships, providing expert recommendations and converting enquiries into bookings.
Manage a range of domestic and international cruise enquiries
Consult with clients to understand their individual travel needs, preferences and budgets
Recommend cruise lines, ships, itineraries and travel products best suited to each client




Create and book memorable cruise holidays
Manage client enquiries efficiently and ensuring requests are actioned within required SLAs
Provide expert advice across cruise products and destinations
Maximise sales opportunities while maintaining a consultative approach
Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat and referral business
Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the booking journey
Manage booking amendments, documentation and other travel requirements
Work towards individual and team sales and service KPIs

Potential hybrid working arrangement
following six months in the role. The first six months are office-based five days per week; eligible employees may then be considered for up to two work-from-home days per week, subject to performance and KPIs.
THE MUST HAVES
We're looking for an experienced travel professional who already has a
strong background in cruise sales and consulting
.
Previous experience as a
Cruise Travel Consultant
or strong cruise-focused travel consulting experience
Excellent knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for cruise products, cruise lines and itineraries
A proven track record of achieving or exceeding travel sales targets
GDS qualifications and/or solid GDS experience
Excellent telephone manner and the confidence to build rapport with clients remotely
Strong sales, communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional customer service and relationship-building ability
Excellent organisation and time-management skills
The ability to prioritise multiple enquiries and meet required service deadlines
A proactive, positive and results-driven approach
A genuine passion for cruising and creating exceptional travel experiences
