About the Role
Viable Solutions is seeking an experiencedGolang Backend Developerto design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs.
You will work on building scalable, concurrent, and production‐grade Go applications in a cloud‐native setting.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop high-performance backend services and microservices usingGo (Golang)
Build and maintainRESTful and gRPC APIs
Implement concurrency patterns usingGo goroutines, channels, and interfaces
Develop and optimise database interactions across relational and NoSQL databases
Integrate withmessage brokers— Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ
Containerise and deploy Go applications usingDocker and Kubernetes
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests usingGo testing frameworks
Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality standards are maintained
Collaborate with cross‐functional teams in an Agile delivery environment
Required Skills & Experience
5–8+ years of software engineering experience with3+ years hands‐on in Go (Golang) — mandatory
Strong proficiency inidiomatic Go— goroutines, channels, interfaces, and error handling




Experience buildingRESTful and gRPC APIsin production environments
Solid understanding ofmicroservices architectureand distributed systems
Experience withGo frameworks— Gin, Echo, Fiber, or Chi
StrongSQLskills — PostgreSQL or MySQL in production
Experience withNoSQL databases— MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB
Hands‐on experience withDocker and Kubernetes
Experience withAWS— EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, or Fargate
Strong understanding ofAPI security— OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect
Experience withCI/CD pipelines— GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar
Nice to Have
Experience withgRPC and Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)
Knowledge ofNATS or Kafka Streamsfor event‐driven architecture
Familiarity withOpenTelemetryfor distributed tracing
Exposure toTerraformfor infrastructure as code
Contributions to open‐source Go projects
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience
AWS Certified Developer — Associate (advantageous)
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) — advantageous
