Full Stack Developer (React / Python / AI Platform)

Initial 6 month contract + extensions available

In collaboration with the Queensland State Government we're looking for a Full Stack Developer to build modern, scalable applications that sit at the intersection of user experience and AI-driven insights. You're key role in delivering intuitive, staff-facing tools powered by an advanced knowledge and AI platform, enabling smarter decision-making through natural language interaction.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Design and build responsive single-page applications using React
n
Develop Python-based APIs and backend services
n
Create reusable components to support multiple applications on a shared platform
n
Integrate front-end interfaces with AI-powered services and knowledge graph capabilities
n
Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions in AWS (serverless and containerised)
n
Implement efficient data integration across structured and unstructured sources
n
Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
n
Ensure performance, security, and maintainability of applications
n
Contribute to testing, deployment, and continuous improvement
n
Apply best practices in clean code, version control, and documentation
n
n
What you need to bring
n
n
Solid experience with React (SPA development,



component architecture, state management)
n
Solid Python development experience (FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks)
n
Proven experience delivering full stack applications end-to-end
n
Hands-on experience with AWS services
n
Experience building AWS Lambda serverless solutions
n
Experience with containerisation (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
n
Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
n
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration
n
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
n
n
Bonus points for
n
n
Exposure to AI/ML or generative AI applications
n
Experience with AI platforms such as Amazon Bedrock
n
Knowledge of graph databases (e.g. Neo4j)
n
Familiarity with GraphRAG or retrieval‐augmented generation approaches
n
Experience with agent‐based systems or AI integration frameworks
n
Understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, cloud security)
n
Experience writing Terraform scripts
n
