About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially-minded Junior Accountant to join our finance team. You will be responsible for the integrity of the general ledger, day-to-day accounting operations, and providing accurate financial reporting to support management decisions.

$80,000 - $90,000 per year + Super

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Manage the preparation and analysis of weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
n
Prepare and lodge BAS and GST returns, ensuring compliance with tax obligations.
n
Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
n
Assist with the company's annual financial audit and income tax return.
n
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
n
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls in line with group policies and governance procedures.
n




Make financial recommendations on operational aspects and identify risks and opportunities to improve performance and productivity.
n
Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure accurate cost allocation across business entities and departments.
n
Manage and monitor fixed assets, including depreciation and vehicle registers.
n
Support month end close processes, incl. preparation of accruals, prepayments, inventory adjustments, and lease accounting schedules.
n
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and additional month-end reporting.
n
Supervise AP and AR functions and provide support.
n

Skills and experience
n
n
Minimums 2 years' experience on relevant field.
n
A relevant tertiary qualification (heading toward to CA/CPA is a plus).
n
Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach
n
The ability to manage priorities and work effectively as part of a team
n
Have worked in a medium to large-sized enterprise
n
Familiarity with Accounting & reporting software: MYOB, Business Central, Power BI, Paypac.
n
Advanced Excel skills – minimum VLOOKUP, pivot tables.
