Due to continued growth, they are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

The Role
n
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple hotel entities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
n
Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments
n
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
n
Support accounts payable and receivable functions
n
Assist with BAS preparation and compliance reporting
n




Analyse financial data and assist in management reporting
n
Maintain accurate records in line with accounting standards
n
n
About You
n
n
Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field
n
1-3 years' experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role
n
Working towards or planning to commence CA / CPA qualification
n
Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards
n
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
n
Experience with accounting systems
n
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
n
