Amardesh Pty Ltd trading as Eastern Sands Motel provides convenient and comfortable accommodation and food in Geelong, Victoria. We are looking for an experienced and competent Motel Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction. The ideal candidates will report to the Director and work closely with our team to deliver outstanding customer service, manage property, and drive sales initiatives.
Position: Full-time
Salary: $80000 - $85000 per year
Tasks & responsibilities:
Managing and overseeing reservation, reception, room service and housekeeping activities
Managing daily operations, including front office, housekeeping and maintenance of the pool and front garden
Overseeing purchasing activities and reporting on the motel’s financial performance against the operational budget to achieve annual set targets
Managing the operational performance of the motel through meeting and exceeding set budgetary requirements
Planning and supervising bar, restaurant, function and conference activities and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety,
and security throughout the property and providing guests with local tourism information, and arranging tours and transportation
Maintaining solid working relationships with the team, suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring open lines of communication are maintained as well as providing effective leadership, guidance and communication
Managing and resolving guest complaints in a timely and appropriate manner to ensure optimum guest satisfaction
Assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction with the services provided
Skills and qualifications:
At least 5 years of previous experience in motel or hotel management
Valuable clerical and computer skills, including knowledge of property management systems (GuestPoint & UseROSSwill be looked upon favourably)
Competent maintenance and valuable problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
High attention to detail and ability to work independently
Reliable and trustworthy with a cheerful and pleasant personality
