Oversee the Reliability and Improvement team.
Lead your team of Engineers to deliver the highest level of technical support for maintenance on site.
Provide leadership, direction and strategy to the site Operational and Capital expenditure programs.
Support installations, modifications and upgrades while aligning to site protocols.
Responsible for the monitoring and upkeep of the sites' engineering standards.
Review engineering and maintenance systems and processes onsite.
Requirements
Clear accountability to drive safety first and foremost, leading the way with hazard identification, risk management and safety inspections.
Mentor, guide and coach your team to deliver against performance targets and provide motivation to create an excellent working environment.
Maintain a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.
Provide technical guidance for maintenance activities to provide a high standard.
Comprehensive knowledge of preventative maintenance strategies and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) – SAP preferred.
Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
Robust interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Previous experience performing the same or similar role in the industry.
Sound knowledge of risk identification processes, safe work practices and relevant Australian standards.
High levels of resourcefulness, versatility, initiative, personal organisation, and diplomacy.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and be willing to obtain and hold Mechanical Engineering Manager (MEM) accountabilities in the future.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role, along with proven front-line leadership capabilities and extensive experience within the mining or heavy industry sectors.
