Role Overview
Senior Medical Officer - Emergency Medicine
Location: Northern Queensland, Australia
Employment period: 21 September ********* October **** (Full engage for 1 month; active duty dates: 21 September ********* October ****)
Roster
8 × 10‐hour shifts per fortnight (weekday and weekend)
On‐call: 3–4 shifts per fortnight (1:2 or 1:3 ratio, included in daily rate)
10‐hour shifts (weekday and weekend)
Compensation
$2,150 (No AST) – $2,350 (With AST).
Rate negotiable based on qualifications.
Hospital Information
Level 3 (CSCF) Rural Hospital – 23 beds, non‐birthing.
Services: accident & emergency, general inpatient medical, surgical and paediatric care.
Typical ED occupancy: *****% (complexity variable, mostly category 3/4).
Travel and accommodation provided.
