Job Description
DWS is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) in a Solution Architect - Cloud and Infrastructure position working with our client. This organisation is seeking a skilled infrastructure architect to provide expert guidance and informed decision making across on-prem and cloud storage, networking, compute and virtualization technologies. This role will play a critical part in shaping and guiding infrastructure strategy and design across a range of high-impact initiatives, with a solid focus on security, cloud adoption, and complex integration environments.

Key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Leading end-to-end solution architecture across cloud and on-prem infrastructure
n
Developing solution options, architecture definitions, and supporting documentation
n
Providing expert guidance on best practices, standards, and architectural patterns
n
Conducting detailed options analysis considering security, cost, scalability, and operational impact
n
Supporting procurement activities through technical input and evaluation
n
Collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into practical solutions
n
Reviewing vendor designs, documentation, and technical specifications
n
Contributing to architecture governance and review boards
n
Supporting long-term strategic planning and roadmap development
n

To be successful, you will bring:
n
n




Strong expertise in solution architecture across both Azure and on-prem environments
n
Deep knowledge of infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and virtualization
n
Strong understanding of secure networking (LAN, WAN, secure edge, internet)
n
Experience with Azure services, including security, networking, and management
n
Exposure to virtual desktop technologies such as Citrix, Windows 365, or Azure Virtual Desktop
n
Experience with voice and communications platforms is highly desirable
n
Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Terraform)
n
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
Proven ability to deliver clear, structured architecture documentation and recommendations
n
